Attending St Mary’s playgroup and other preschools

Children can attend St Mary’s Playgroup as well as other preschools and nurseries – such a mix can then offer flexibility for working parents. Your childminder is also welcome to drop off and pick up your child at St Mary’s.

Government preschool funding can be split across two or more organisations. Please ask our staff for details.

Duty Rota

Your help on the duty rota is a condition of your child’s attendance, with 1 session being required from each child’s parent or carer per term.  This is a wonderful opportunity to find out what goes on during the session and on your duty day you become an invaluable member of the team.

Your tasks will include:

• Overseeing activities, as requested by the staff

• Preparing snacks and drinks

• Help tidy away and washing up

• Helping the children with hand washing, shoes and

  coats.

If for any reason you are unable to help out at a morning session you can always help us by washing the dressing up clothes or preparing craft activities for future sessions.
